Are you one of those many individuals who plan to spend their retirement in Costa Rica? Do you want to spend the twilight years of your life in peace and tranquility amidst nature in its splendid beauty? If you did, then, this article will be of great benefit to you.

Costa Rica is a beautiful country which consists of a group of islands in the Central American region. This country was discovered in the 1500s by Christopher Columbus. He named this land “Costa Rica” in Spanish which translates to “rich coast” in English. Costa Rica is blessed with a rich and amazing coastline since this country is situated in the isthmus in Central American between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

Retirement in Costa Rica is a much preferred option because this country has a very enchanting and soothing atmosphere which can relieve any person of the stress of daily life. After spending years of life in running around to earn a living, taking in the stress and anxieties that come with the territory, it is but natural to anticipate a very relaxing retired life. Costa Rica just offers that and much more.

Costa Rica is fast becoming the most preferred destination for retired professionals from the United States of America to spend the most valuable dusky years of life. This is because of multiple reasons. One of the reasons for many retired Americans to look towards Costa Rica for their retirement is because of the fact that is close to home. Costa Rica is just is few hours away from the United States of America by air. Another reason for Americans to select Costa Rica is the fact that the beaches and landscape is similar to that of America minus the hustle bustle and the rush.

Many Americans find this country as the best place to retire. There are many reasons for them to make this their preferred destination. Firstly, it takes less time to reach Costa Rica through air from the United States of America. Another reason is that, this place easily reminds them of home, especially because of its beautiful weather and amazing beaches which are a haven for surfers. The only thing they will miss is the stress and anxiety of the day that they experienced in the USA. But then, who will regret it?

Not only United States of America, but people from countries all over the world and now flying to this beautiful land to find themselves a piece of paradise. There are two aspects which people coming here will have to look into before making this place their home.

One is the social aspect. For people from America, the social culture in Costa Rica will come as a shock. Costa Ricans are very casual and laid back in nature. They are not is a rush to get anything done. This will come as a shock to foreigners, especially Americans, who believe in the concept of “time is money”. Costa Ricans, or “ticos” as they are called, are not very punctual and hence work does not get done efficiently which is something an American has to be prepared for.

Costa Rica satisfies every need of a retired individual. This country is considered paradise on earth. It is worth spending your hard earned money to buy your nest in this blessed land to spend to most treasured years of life.
