Each seller wants a high price, fast, by selling his house. To sell the house for a hefty amount is not a matter of luck, as most of the people think. As a matter of fact, it depends on how you plan and prepare your house for a sale. While you do this you may encounter a few problems. These problems are easy to solve, if you are determined. 1. Detach yourself emotionally :
Think that you are preparing your home for a new owner and that your home does not belong to you any more. You must give up your emotions. Say bye-bye to all the parts of your house. Do not dwell in the past, dwell in the future.
2. Become less personal :
There should be no family photos on the walls and it should be left bare. This may distract the buyer. Do not let them start enquiring about you and your family by looking at those photos. Decorate your interiors in such a way that the buyer starts imagining themselves as living in the house.

- Make it a daily routine to vacuum the floor and other furniture.
- Floors should be waxed.
- Replace the worn rugs.
- Air-freshners should be placed in bathroom and each and every room; there should be no place for odors.
9. Make your home more appealing :
- There should be a homely feeling for the buyer, once they enter your home.
- Make such arrangements as clearing the sidewalks, planting attractive flower plants, preferably yellow ones, as yellow invokes a buying emotion.
- You can also group together the flower pots.
- Place in your garden inexpensive and attractive flower plants.
- Bushes and plants must be trimmed, and finally,
- Your house number must be visible and easy to read.
